How to choose the best video format

WebM (VP9) gives excellent compression and broad browser support — it's what VideoDock writes when re-encoding. MP4 (H.264) is the most universally compatible for sharing and editing.

If your destination is a browser, WebM is usually smaller at the same quality. If you need maximum compatibility, MP4 is safer. The FFmpeg build adds true MP4 output.
